    If you don’t need the regulator I would not remove it. Just open it all the way and leave it.

    Air tools have a recommended and maximum working pressure. You need to adjust the pressure at the hose side to match. For example, nail guns are around 90 psi Max. Too little pressure and it will not fully drive the nail. Too much and you can damage the gun seals. Hope this helps.

    Please don't use wedge anchors. Use galvanized threaded rod with epoxy or use Hilti HIT-Z anchors. You can get the epoxy adhesive at HD or use the Hilti HY-200 system.     Do a load calculation. Then you will know exactly how much power you need. It's not difficult. You can probably find forms and instructions online.

    Make it easy on yourself: rent a Hilti roto-hammer from HD or other. It will be a 30 second job (as long as you don't hit rebar) with the Hilti, but with a 1/2" hammer drill, it can be a drawn-out and frustrating experience. Just my 2 cents...
