That's the good part about mini splits don't have electric backup. They are not considered a primary heat source. Mine works fine down to -20 degrees C. Unless you live in an area where the temperatures are very cold for long periods of time the mini split is the way to go. Can be installed in 4...
I have my unit positioned so it blows across the north side (cold wall), that's where my doors are located. 28 x 40 and I am using a 18,000 BTU. Heated for half the cost of my in floor.
If you make the rows you have continuous you would likely be OK. In other words add another light in the middle of each row. Possible move the middle row a little closer the bench. Put the bench lights on a separate switch.
I think you would be OK to run the lights on the ceiling. Just keep the strips a couple feet wider than the RV on each side. There are calculators online to figure out how many watts of light that would be required.
Got my new Dannmar lift installed. When I built the garage I was figuring on a symmetric lift. I ended up purchasing the asymmetric Dannmar 10ACX from Princess Auto. Easy to install and it works great. I have also attached a picture of the frame cradle pads I built. The factory ones were too...
Decided the cost of new frame cradle pads was too much. Made a set myself for $30.00. 5 inch standard channel and some 5 1/8 inch id pipe. They seem to work well. I have attached some pics.
That's a small cable in a good size conduit. it should pull fairly easy even with 3 bends. It acts like the conduit it pulled apart underground. My opinion.
Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes Thickhead it is a hoot to drive the sled. The phrase " sit down, shut up and hold on" does apply. With another computer flash the sled will make even more power, I figured this was enough. Yes Outlander we likely are related, you know how things are on the east...
Found this forum as I was searching for information on Dannmar lifts.
As a child I worked with my dad repairing everything from lawn mowers to bulldozers and tractor trailers. Later I worked in the electrical trade and have my red seal electrician license and my pilots license. I had several...
I plan on ordering a 10CX soon. It is a difficult model to get here in Canada. I will likely have it shipped to the US/Can border and go pick it up on the US side. Has anyone ever imported a lift?
