If you don't intend to use it again in the next few months. Probably a good idea to drain the fuel. Especially if you used 10% ethanol for the mixture.
Galvanic reaction from dissimilar metals. The water in the hose is providing the connection from inside the hose. Coating the threads with whatever isn't going to change that.
I got a couple of those when they were a freebie.
But, IMO plastic is too fragile for a rough and ready tool bag.
You can get the same thing in steel for about $10 in many auto parts stores.
The same $10 will also get you HF 6 piece "just checking what ballpark I'm in" set.
The metal calipers...
Did you mean digital caliper? If so, FWIW my battery has lasted over a year since I removed a layer of foam from the plastic case it came in. I think the foam was triggering one or more buttons.
Yes, get an impact driver. After you use it on some project with 15 or 20 1/4"-3/8" bolts you'll wonder how you ever got along without it.
And yes, get impact sockets. You can easily find 1/4" drive impact set that range up to 9/16"/15mm. Even an economy impact drive will be able to handle...
A guy I worked with back when died when a fuel tank - purportedly empty and thoroughly rinsed with water - exploded while he attempted to weld it. That occured on the Alaskan north slope. But most everything I know about the accident is second-hand info.
I've heard that the correct way to weld...
At least a couple 3/4" drive back in the '80s. One was a no-name marked "India". Both were 12 point and cracked at a hex corner - no broken away or flying pieces.
Said at least because at least one other broke at the end of an 8' cheater pipe on a 2' long breaker. But the socket had been used...
Start with any quick (one minute or less) and simple diagnostics. If none of those quick checks find the problem, then see Dave's #2.
Eg. Engine doesn't crank, connect the starter solenoid actuator terminals. Yeah, it's probably a bad connections at the battery or the battery itself is bad -...
Most of they guys I've known that were fans of chromed automotive wheels (I'm not) swore by Mother's chrome polish. Might be worth a try after the Evaporust.
The end with the very short bend goes in the slide. Otherwise what J.A.F.E. said.
If the slides are full of dry crude, give 'em a shot of light oil first and put a little, light grease on the short bend end of the tool.
If the Kennedy has ball bearing slides, I might choose it over the HF 26" even with the bent drawer & missing handle - even @ $200. The top three drawers of the HF 26" are 19-1/2" x 22-1/4 x 1-3/8". 1-3/8" drawer face height is painfully shallow. About 1-1/8" is the practical working depth for...
