I couldn't care less personally. I use my tools as tools to build stuff (my hobby)
(could be the same as people use cars to get from point A-B, and to me, cars are the point)
Did you draw out that diagram yourself? If so, I love your work on laying it out on paper. You've motivated me to sit down and dust off the drawing pencils to map out my hang out spot/garage. Thanks! :rocker:
What I like about these is the ease of moving something that is on the stand. In order to hold an object you need two saw horses. If you try to move it all it is a juggling match. If I have to move the stand with something on it, it's much easier with it just being one stand with two holding points.
Yeah.. because even though you can't even get the things apart when you TRY.... they figured for good measure, they'd put an ignorant little plastic lock on them.
My method was trial by fire. I gathered scrap and built stuff around the garage that wasn't that important. Get advice from people that are experienced and watch Youtube Videos. MIG was easy to pick up, and I ended up teaching myself how to TIG while fabricating the exhaust for my truck. Do not...
I don't know that I would want too much to clutter up the really clean look you've got in that place. A large Porsche logo on that back wall centered up on the white section would look pretty good though. Mabye install some spotlights from the ceiling that shine on it to accent it as a focal...
Best idea for the place IMO. I am glad to see that your wife is on board with the idea of losing an inside space for a shop and even better to see that she is pushing you to pursue something out there.
I have bought one part from HF without full hearted intention of keeping it. I felt that a scroll saw would be the best option for a detailed cut that I had to do on some plexi for a boat stereo install. My main concern was whether it was going to even do what I wanted/needed it to. I asked the...
I think the AST 500lb stands run about $35.00 and I get them at work. I've got one at home and I will be getting at least one more. Great stands to have around.
Are you wanting them stored in plain sight? If I had a handfull of attractive helmets I would build a bracket that mounts on the wall that you could hang them from.
