    suggestions for Natural hardwood coating

I used Benwood Stays Clear from Benjamin Moore for my workbench, after drying zero odor and surprisingly resilient. And I'm not kind to it. Generally speaking any water based poly will be low VOC.

    Steel cabinet for sale

I have a steel cabinet for sale its 36" wide x72" tall x 19" deep (approx). This was used in a machine shop before and is made of heavy gauge steel. it has 5 shelves, 1 is fixed (center). It has light surface rust, paint chips, both doors have a dent near the bottom. The door latch is a...

There's a heavy rubber mat that came with it. However I'm going to cut down the maple butcher block in the background to fit. The craftsman box may just become/get modified to hold hardware-hardware organizers. so that whole rig is going away. And besides, 'a man got's to know his...

Lisle Customer Service Is Top Notch

I'll second that, I had an issue with the F150 Spark plug removal tool years ago. Stripped the thread on the jack screw, they sent a replacement out in 2 or 3 days from when I called (later evening). Color me impressed.

Merry Christmas to me Let me try and shake it to see whats in the wrapper Tadaaah! I may actually get nearly all my tools in 1 place, no more going to 3 different drawers in 2 boxes to get sockets and ratchets. And the big torque wrench fits in a drawer! Its a SnapOn KCP1423WFV, it was...

Found it IN the Garage - that count?

Its a signal cannon, like the one in Michigan which may have been overfilled, when it detonated and blew apart. The shrapnel killed one of the guest (later died in the hospital, want immediate). The owner was just found guilty (negligent homicide?). So yeah, have fun, but dont put an eye out!

    Lets see your workbench

My little hovel, with home renovations its a mess right now. Anyway; I started with the Craftsman box set on the far right, which had my dad's vintage Snap-On KR56 sitting on it. I bought the set on the left when Sears started liquidating. It was cheaper than just buying the lower cabinet at...

    Air Compressor Line size

I'm putting in the '1/2 in." kit now, 2 car garage, it will give me a drop at the workbench, and each side of the garage door. One side, closest to the compressor will have the hose reel (~40ft iirc). So that might be the longest run. I believe with the kit the paperwork showed a graph with...

    Garage oscilloscope

When we were looking for lower cost alternatives at work for Field techs we landed on PicoScope. Uses your laptop/tablet for the screen and recording etc. I see them now and they are way more than we ever bought them for. Look for USB Oscilloscopes or similar. Generally pay attention to the...

Best tool box for the money

Oh and the Masterforce larger roller cabinets had the triple, wide top drawers. Just wish they had more of the shallower drawers on one side.

Best tool box for the money

I've been looking to upgrade and consolidate a few Craftsman boxes for a larger centralized roller cabinet. I'm a DIYr guy so the ultimate-awesome park a semi on it, isn't necessary. I've been looking a the US General series 2 (who hasnt?) pieces and while they're good value they leave me flat...
