Building a 40x40x14 and using 10x40 as living space. Just curious if someone can give insight as to how big of a unit I need and where would be the best install location? Thanks.

Possibly, but not easily. Would rather not have to deal with the elect company setting another pole.

200 amp to house, 100 amp to barn. Really don't know if I need 100 at barn. We will have our RV plugged in part time and it's 50 amp, plus lights, outlets, etc inside barn.

Thanks for the info wyliesdiesels. Running 3/0 copper feeders and probably a #4 or 6 ground. Run from pole to house is ~270' and then ~30' from house to barn. Will use same feeder/ground size from house to barn.
