My last shop had peg board, my new shop...not a square inch of it. I hang every tool that can be hung with a nail. It saves so much space when compared to being locked into the square inch spacing of peg board. And no more pegs coming out and falling off when a tool is removed...
It's hard...
The heavy all rubber Continentals are the best bang for my buck. They are not cheap, they are not "kink resistant, they are not light....but, they last a long time and take a lot of abuse.
I bought a 60" Zero Turn several years ago and compared mowing the areas around my house to surfing (uncontrolled surfing, more like snow sledding on one of those circle saucers). The turf tires were horrible on my hilly ground especially with some dampness. Maybe a few spots near 45°...
Waterloo boxes were made in my town, by the Waterloo factory...where they also made boxes for Craftsmen and a few others. I've been to a few scratch-n-dent sales that were meant to clear the returned inventory or factory mistakes. You could find all kinds of mixed and matched parts. Stanley...
I love an indoor drain for washing the car/s. It's fantastic in the summer for staying out of the heat and having a place to wax without the sun cooking it on. My shop has AC and a wood stove which is nice. I don't do much washing of the fleet in the winter, but the winter driver gets the...
It sounds like a dream! Consider an overhang along at least one side for patio lounging/BBQ'n, outside storage, &/or weather protection. I have a 10 foot overhang on the side where my main work area is which has a double garage door. The shop has 12 foot walls and 10 foot garage doors. I...
The areas along the saw cuts seemed to have held the color pretty good. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the saw cuts allow the concrete to stay more dry and that the remainder of the floor as discolored due to a higher level of moisture from below. The saw cuts maybe allowing the...
Get carried away Bub! That's what this tread is asking for. Yesterday, I was in the mood for some quick reads and I got a chuckle out of my comment when it ran through my mind and thought others would too. I posted purely in fun!
Here's a more real one that I'm dealing with at work...When a...
I keep the 1/16th cutoff wheels, 1/4" grinding wheels, and the sand flapper discs on hand at all times. These items are definitely a "get-what--you-pay-for" type of thing. HF is NOT a good place for them...maybe half the price, less than half the life and yours depends on it. Dewalt products...
I'm not exactly sure how this track will be mounted, but I would consider using two pieces of 3 or 4 foot angle iron (or channel, or whatever you have that is straight to the eye) and clamp one piece on the bottom and one on the side prior to welding. I would block up the overhung portions of...
Tordon RTU has the highest success rate at my place with anything I have used it on and its success is 99% plus...very effective stuff. I have used it on Osage orange, Honey Locust, large Poison Ivy vines, multiple hardwoods, Cat's Briar...the list goes on. It takes no mercy and by far the...
