I have an IR231 impact wrench and just bought a IR2115 TiMax and I would like to know if there are any disadvantages to putting protective boots on them?

I'm in the process of hooking up my new Campbell Hausfeld compressor and I need to know how tight to get the pipe fittings. I know they're a tapered fitting, so I don't want to get them to tight and damage something. While I'm asking, should I use brush on thread sealer or tape?

I'll second the Apex bits. I can't remember ever snapping one off. They will wear out, but it takes quite a while.

Does anyone know if anyone makes a 5/8" socket (deep or shallow) on 1/4" drive? My 1/4 drive Hansen rack has a spot for both deep & shallow and it's driving me nuts having them empty.
