car snow melt/ water catch. tired of a wet garage. any solutions?

wife just looked at the computer and I quote "I could think of a lot better things to spend $140 on". I responded with "well, all that **** that comes off the cars that I spend hours a week rinsing out of the garage eventually ends up in the house if I don't do it, how bouts I just quit doing...

car snow melt/ water catch. tired of a wet garage. any solutions?

yup that's what I was needing. couldn't think of the wording to google. The only thing that I would maybe like better would be some sort of strip that I could wrap around in a "U" shape to make it easier to squeegy out the door.

car snow melt/ water catch. tired of a wet garage. any solutions?

I really like not cleaning 24" of snow off my truck. lol not really an option. It's worth the work when compared to a cold snowy truck.

car snow melt/ water catch. tired of a wet garage. any solutions?

When my garage was built, it was built as just a solid slab. No drains, and no pitch for the water to run out. So all the snow that melts off of my vehicles just pools in the low spots. Is there anything like a water dam or something like that which would go around the cars? If I could at...

Shelving / drilling block advice needed please.

I have a 10'x30' block wall that I am going to run a 14" shelf across the top of, I'm going to use wire shelf. Not because I want to, but I have piles of it and cash is a big issue. Under it, I am going to run 1/4" peg board most of the length of the wall. Here are my questions, How many...

Linseed Oil = Fire in my garage

no they don't. But when they're heated, they bleed off gas and fuel the fire. This is all very true. Any oil soaked (just damp) rags need to go away from your house. period. Spontaneous combustion is a real thing and it happens a lot. Then, you'll get to deal with a fire marshal who will...

Riveting into carbon fiber? anyone done this?

Good post. It's a bike frame, there's no way to see the reverse of the hole or to get a nut inside of it. It's real carbon. The way I intend to keep it solid is with epoxy. It really and truly won't be under much load and the majority of the load will be perpendicular to the rivets.

Riveting into carbon fiber? anyone done this?

Prolly not the right spot for this, I don't mind if it's moved. long story short, a cable hanger broke off of my road bike. it was held on by two small rivets. Seems like a fairly simple fix, my only hesitation is carbonfiber sensitivity. Any tips would be just great.

    Jewelers bench ideas?

I was thinking a small kobalt box maybe. She doesn't really have that much stuff yet. I dont want to encourage a spending spree for something she'll probably choose wine over in the end.
