    2020 Garage Sale Thread

I’ve been missing out on sales since the whole COVID thing started. Good to see everyone is still finding deals. This evening my buddy texted me saying there was a “tool cart” sitting by the road in our neighborhood. My wife was bored and talked me into taking the ride around the block. My...

Hit a couple estate sales this morning, but only picked up these from one sale. The cabinet was mounted on the wall of a small shed. The sign is painted wood and was just laying in the same shed with no price on it. Ended up giving $25 to get both.

It’s possible he was trying to take out some slop, but I don’t see how. As it is, the jaws only have about a millimeter or so of play, but it’s in closing. Nothing wrong with the functionality of the vise when it’s clamping, as it doesn’t come open or anything. Inspection showed no damage to...

Ah. I think you’re into something as there is some play in it. I’ll take the screws out so I can pull it apart and have a look.

Picked up this Athol 613 at an estate sale yesterday for $15. It was frozen solid and looks like they even cut it off a workbench because they couldn’t get the bolts loose. At least 8 other guys went in the “tool room” while I was there and passed it up. 5 minutes with pb blaster and a wire...

Just picked this up for $50. Both boxes are dated Dec. '75 and it came with all 4 Crown-top logo keys. I'd been looking for this exact set for a while. I plan on fixing them up as a present for my dad.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Thanks. I know this vise didn't have the contrasting lettering. I think I'm just like most here who think it looks sharp, and if you're going through the effort of refinishing, why not?

    The VISES of Garage Journal

My wife randomly wanted to check out an estate sale and some yard sales last week. I ended up taking this Wilton vise home from the estate sale for $5. It cleaned up in the parts washer pretty well (after I took the first pic). But I wasn't going to be happy without doing a little work on it...

The wife wanted to hit an estate sale and some yard sales this morning, since we hadn't been in a while. I'm glad she did. Got the Wilton vise for $5 and the metal bin organizer for $2; both from the estate sale.

    New Torque Wrench

It was a parking lot sale. Usually the sales are a little better priced than the constant sales they regularly run. I saw quite a bit of buzz about it on youtube and people posting on Facebook. I was on-call and got hammered Fri and Sat and was scared to wander too far from the house on...

The all inclusive PhotoBucket issues, problems and solutions

Re: Photobucket Just Screwed Me Real Hard Just something I noticed... If you use the photobucket mobile app, you can't view your photos. If you click the thumbnail to view the photo, it'll give you the "Please Upgrade" image. But if you use a web browser, it will still let you view the...

Re: Photobucket Just Screwed Me Real Hard Same - Free and can still get in my account and view the photographs. I do keep most of my photos on an external hard drive. But some of the photos I have on photobucket (and even cardomain if anyone remembers that site) are from over a decade ago...

The all inclusive PhotoBucket issues, problems and solutions

Re: Photobucket Just Screwed Me Real Hard I didn't get an e-mail either, because my account was linked to an old Hotmail account I had at the turn of the century. But if you look at any images you've posted here using PB as the hosting site, it tell you a url to go to in order to upgrade your...

Re: Photobucket Just Screwed Me Real Hard I can still access my account and download all my pictures. Hopefully you guys haven't lost all your pictures. Then it would be up to you if you want to change to FLickr and update your threads. But that would be more for our benefit. I think...

    '78 F350 Dually Project

I had to read the last 5 or so pages of this thread last night to catch up. You've been making a lot of progress. Did the craigslist grill surround go on Connie or are you saving it for the '77? I'd check the sound decibels in my '77, but I don't think it'd give you a good baseline...
