I am looking at a 2 post lift and was wondering the pros and cons between the baseplate design verse the top plate. The top plate is direct drive, but why would anyone want it as it will impede the height of the vehicle? My ceiling is more than tall enough so height isn't an issue...

I have an exhaust manifold that I need to hone out and clean up a little bit. It is cast iron and some of the welds needs to be cleaned up on the inside of the some of the ports. What type/brand of grinding stones should I use? What holds up longer than generic dremel stuff? I need to gasket...
