    Ok I think I see it now. leave existing wall ends, extend up (pony wall) to support new rafter angle then carry short distance to the new wall.

    I am in Seattle. The standing wall is 7? FT now. plan was to slide it out the 8 ft and that would be the new pitch. would that be too long of a span and need to support?
