Tools of the trade: Collision repair

Another bodyman here, I'll post some pics of my box and tools once my new box is delivered. Only been in the trade about 5 years so still looking for some things. One thing I'm always wondering is where is everyone getting their dollies? There's so many of them out there and I really could use...

Camarotoolman- do you have a classified ad on here or should I just pm you? I've got a wanted ad up on kijiji and other sites around my area. Will have to try to get out and check out some of the pawn shops around here to see if they have anything good. not really sure where to find any swap...

    Vise grips/locking pliers

Thanks for the ideas, I'll have to check all those ones out. I've been asking my Mac dealer everytime he comes to my shop but the 10 plier deal hasnt been on in awhile but I will definitely be buying a set or two if it comes up again.

    Vise grips/locking pliers

Hey, I need to get myself a bunch of vise grips for work but it seems like any decent ones are super expensive for even one pair. Is there any brands that are less known but just as good as some of the bigger names for cheaper? I've heard that the cheap, cheap ones won't last very long and I...

What do you guys clean your boxes with

I just wipe it down with glass cleaner. Usually AcDelco foaming glass cleaner that we get at the shop. My box has the black rubber mat top so I use some dash cleaner to shine that up.

New alternative to worn rubber handles?

Yup, noticed the expiration date on it. Mine says its good till August so I've still got lots of time. In your experience with it, do you think it would hold up to walking on if it was used to seal up a small hole in the sole of a shoe? Pretty different from replacing rubber feet I know but was...

New alternative to worn rubber handles?

I actually got a pack of this for a Christmas gift this year. Havent opened it to use it yet though. Could actually be pretty handy for fixing up tools and what not. Guess I should open it up and give it a shot sometime.

    Let's see your toolbox.

Just got this in on Wednesday. Upgraded from my Mac cart and got a pretty good deal on it too. Now I've got space for everything and can continue to build my collection.

Would like some opinions on boxes

Never thought of that before, thanks for the heads up. That could definitely end up being a big problem. The Mac dealer for my shop was in today and has a pretty good deal coming up in the next couple of weeks. He's bringing in a couple of MB4290B boxes, one in orange and one in green. Really...

Would like some opinions on boxes

I've been checking the local used sites around here and theres been pretty much nothing in the past month or so. I'm guessing with Christmas coming up there might be more on there soon though so I'll definitely keep my eyes open. The Snap on dealer was in my shop today and had a Heritage series...

Its starting to fill up very quickly and Ive got tools on top of tools in pretty much every drawer as well as the lower area quite full.
