    Just to wrap up this old thread . . . I finally decided to bite the bullet and buy a ratchet assembly or the slightly less expensive overhaul kit just to get the two little springs I needed. Via Team Torque it would cost me a little less than $30 for parts, surcharge (for not buying enough)...
