proper disposal of paint rinse water

I'm a waste broker. Dry the latex out with kitty litter, throw in the trash. Rinsate from water base can go on the ground. Oil base paint, dry with kitty litter, throw in the trash. Liquid paint is where the expensive disposal comes into play.

Pros/con living in a metal shop.

I have a 30x50x12 and couldn't imagine 1100sf of living quarters... it would eat up all the space. As others have stated, it's cheaper to go up, than out. Have you considered a loft for living quarters?

    I hate shop-vacs

Best thing I ever did was to start running the bags in my vac... Being the tight *** i am, I scoffed at the idea of spending that much money on a damn bag! I'll never NOT run a bag and filter in them again... I use it to vac out ash from a pellet smoker on occasion. I always dreaded it...

Electric Pressure Washers, stand the test of time??

I bought a Greenworks 21,22,2300? from Lowes last year, and the 14 dollar foam cannon off amazon. Only used it last summer, but needed something to wash down my Ranger after riding. It does the job, and I'm happy with it. Tip: before you turn it on, depress the handle for 30 seconds or so to...

    Driveway gravel size

I'm getting ready to lay down crushed concrete.. A little cheaper than crusher run, but with the fines in it, it'll set up just like concrete.. The key is to water the hell out of it and pack it. It'll be good and dusty until it gets a couple rains on it, but everyone I've seen use it really...

    Stihl Kombi system blower feedback...

Hey guys.. So I'm starting to get heavily invested in the Kombi system.. I haven't purchased the blower attachment, but as my old husqvarna is getting long in the tooth, I'm pondering the blower attachment. My only hangup is that it seems like it would be awkward to use. However, I've only...

Construction type, pole barn vs steel building?

When I looked at this, I decided to go with pole barn. My reasoning.. I was 45 years old at the time.... I won't be around in 50 years to worry about it.

    decent/cheap air foot pedal?

Hey guys, I'm in the market for an air foot pedal for an air/hydraulic bottle jack.. I've been wanting a press for what seems forever now.. well, I pulled the trigger on a HF 20 ton press this weekend.. I thought I would roll with that for awhile, and wait for a 20% off coupon for an...

Just starting to plan the garage build, what am I missing?

Wish I Would have poured a 3ft walkway all the way around mine. Other than that, I would have coated the floor before so much as 1 tool was placed in it. Won't ever happen now.

    HF staple gun

I'm a beekeeper, and used that stapler for assembling a lot of boxes and frames... Mine got to where it was leaking air. It was good while it lasted, but decided I'd spring for the Hitachi since it would see a ton of use every year.. Can't complain, I got every cent of my 20 bucks out of it.

    Organization ideas for 30x40x14 shop

Would you mind sharing some photos? i've recently built a 30x50x12.. in hindsight, wish i would have gone 14ft tall. The back 10x30 I plan to frame in, with storage on top... I've sat and contemplated over many beers if I'm giving up too much space... Thx!

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

The one- It's been awhile since I played with the calculator, but for my 30x40, I ended up going with 3 rows of 8 for a total of 24 fixtures. I got the first row installed over the labor day weekend, and working on the second one now.. i think I'm going to end up just right. Using a cheesy...
