I built one using 3x5 steel columns and metal purlins for mezzanines. I have most of it done, still have to add some safety railing around the edge. As far as concrete 6" 2500psi.

My buddy kept bitching about rust and what color to paint the cage/ suspension goodies...solution clear powder coat.. Beautiful welds are works of art..And flapper discs work great to remedy bad welds and fitting issues...

my 9000lb direct lift has casters and it will hold my f250 with a powerstroke..pretty much bought it to use as a lift to a second story to store cars, so i needed it to move!!

i was quoted $100 sqf for my shop originally, 50X60 clearspan with 16' walls no electical or plumbing....you do the math. i ended up doing a metal one...although i am in Ca. so people are usually pretty nuts to begin with:)

that was funny...extra concrete would take up to much space, and i want this thing to be able to move out of my way when its collecting dust.

the bendpak is $5500, my mezzanine has only ran me about $2500 for all of my stuff so far off craigslist and the steel shop so thats not too bad. the hard part to swallow is i already have a 2-post which i paid a $150 for, so the 4-post's main function would be to get my projects off the floor...

I was wondering if anybody out there has lengthened their lift? i need a lift or some other way, (if anybody has some other ideas) on being able to lift a car to a height of 102" to the height of my mezzanine. bendpak has one that exceeds that height for a bunch money, but im really trying to...
