I use a Battery Tender on my classic - used to replace the battery almost every year after the car sat over the winter - no more. Same battery for 5 years now, very happy with my BT.
They are likely to 'go away' faster than any of us would anticipate. I was at my local Sears store and the tool area offered a slim assortment of what it once had. Was sad to see. :sad:
I would look for a different solution. Put something on a bench top on these, starting banging on it with the weight of a top, vise, what ever you're working on, etc. and those brackets are gonna give or pull out of the wall.
