The 4x8 sheets are around $5. That's if you go with the thin stuff since you already have something there. 4x12x 5/8 will definitely cost more. I got lucky and found a drywaller selling 4x10x5/8 for $4/sheet.:bounce:
Your cheapest route will be drywall at $5 a sheet. Or you could put up OSB and then paint it. It won't look to bad since its a garage. oSB is nice because you can screw anywhere without having to find wall studs.
I added 4 plex receptacle about every 6' in my 24'x36 shop to accommodate floor standing tools like a drill press or band saw with short cords. If I decide to rearrange my shop I will always have a plug nearby.
Thanks guys! This is great information.
I see it two ways...use aluminum, save some cash and potentially have issues. Or go with copper and spend a little more but not worry.
I'm almost at the point where I will run the main feed into my shop 100 amp panel from the meter. The distance is about 80 ft. Does anyone have an opinion on using aluminum wire versus copper? What are the pros and cons of aluminum? I hear it costs less.

With an ceiling area of 24 x 29 that's ~700 sq ft of heat coming through. Your best value will come from insulating above the ceiling with about R-30. This will reduce your shop temperature significantly. Passive vents in the gables might be enough.
Insulating at a minimum, your west facing...
My shop is 864 sq. ft.. If you need 17 I probably need about 16. Unfortunately, i have already laid out the wire for 12 four lamp fixtures. I guess I can add fixtures where needed.
