I think we can work out a "posting cost" swap if you need any US Auto parts, the Mini parts cost over here are through the roof!
The vent is called a studor vent and allows the retrofit or addition of a vent line without having to run the pipe to the outside of the building.
Basically a oneway check valve allowing air in and stopping the gases from escaping. It's common around here but check your local codes.

3rd Brake light is out of an Ford ****** with a little rework done to it. Shame it didn't do it's job, we were rear ended sitting at a light about 2 weeks after the build.
You're Welcome. I retired back in 94 (Army) and tinkered around for a bit, until my wife said it was time to find job, she caught me painting the raised white letters on my push mower! Hope to get to retire again in a few more years.
