I've been meaning to ask you a question for awhile. There is a YouTube channel, "my mechanics insights" that has been restoring a Datsun 240Z to beyond factory specs with his attention to detail. He is out of Switzerland and I was curious if you know him, or run in his circles? All I can say is...
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll return the favor and say Uri Tuchman. If you haven't watched him, you are missing a great channel. He is eccentric and very imaginative with what he builds. Here is a link to his Samurai sword inspired Makita vacuum. You won't be disappointed.
I wonder of what crime the GTV6 had been found guilty. Seems a pretty severe sentence. The Montreal is a beautiful car in person and I get why your wife loves it.
Personally, I would do the two steps out of the back door and keep the rest at the same level. At 8" wide for the top section you create an issue for a table where someone might back the chair onto the steps behind and that can ruin a party. We are reevaluating our deck currently because we have...
Agree on the composite decking. My deck has composite decking that was put on in 1986 and is just now starting to fail. I live on the Chesapeake Bay, this is in a marine environment where wood decks decay in less than 10 years ( a little longer if you use 2x6 PT lumber for decking) and any metal...
I have the same issue. In my instance I have determined the issue to be that if I do not go to the last posted page, then it will not send a notification. The same issue happens if I have 2 or more notifications and only look at one. Whatever I didn't view during that session won't send...
I believe this is for the end of the bench. It will be fine if that is the case and you are just over thinking it. The tension is running with the grain of the wood and that is very strong. Plus, once you glue that joint the surface area of the glue will make it extremely strong.
I place the ramps on the lift, behind the car. I sometimes don't raise the lift to max height and I don't want to get in a habit that will end up with me needing stitches if I forget to remove them. If I have a habit of removing them, I am safe. I also use a 20 amp dedicated circuit with no issues.
What Zeke says. I can't speak for a roof, but on a wall that uses cedar shakes, I would do a story pole of the standard exposure one row longer than what the standard exposure would be and then tilt it to the point the second row begins to establish an even spacing. I hope that makes sense.
Thanks for the gridfinity rabbit hole! I just got a 3d printer as well and was looking for a bin design and this is going to be it. For those drawers that aren't perfect, I suppose you could create an intermediate base with side extensions that would close the gap to the side of a drawer.
One...
