I would add a garage door on the same side as your service door but opposite end. Would have to be a smaller door but it would allow you to go in and out with wheelers and trailers or a vehicle without having to turn around.

Are you sure about the height of your ceiling when you add the lift? I'm building one with 12 ' walls and I'm concerned about garage door tracking being in way?

88 is a great number! The year I graduated and Dale Jr's number. Not sure what the crime is like in your area, but your solid door with an added deadbolt would help detour burglars!

You didn't mention what your barn will be used for but, Keep in mind if you use over head garage doors, lights may get blocked with door up. As far as how many lights, you can never have enough! If you have a ceiling, paint it white so the light reflects.
