Lighting Layout Plan

Hi All,

Looking to add lighting to my 30 x 50 pole barn. I attached a layout with a couple of plans. Going with 3 banks of lights. Not sure if I want to go with 8 lights (bank 2) or 6 lights (bank 3). I showed them both to compare. The final plan will be all three banks setup the same. Any feedback?

You didn't mention what your barn will be used for but, Keep in mind if you use over head garage doors, lights may get blocked with door up. As far as how many lights, you can never have enough! If you have a ceiling, paint it white so the light reflects.

A couple more details: Looking at using 4' T8 two bulb strip light fixtures. Bottom of trusses are at 10'. No ceiling right now.

It is just general use, nothing specialized. I had a half dozen single bulb fixtures originally. I switched those to some 4' plug in shop lights, which is a lot better. Next step will be a more permanent solution with more lights.
