Drill a hold to stop a crack in the windshield?

Yes it can work. I've had it work, but it might not work every time.

Regular guys, what's your Sears alternative?

I'll pick up things as I need them. If I have time, amazon or ebay. Otherwise, it's wherever I can find something of reasonable quality nearby. We have a Lowes in town, but the tool quality is rather unappealing. There's a Sears near work, but since nothing is made in the US anymore, it's not...

New Toro (Briggs & Stratton) mower: "NEVER CHANGE THE OIL"??

Mowers will last about forever on the original oil as long as you don't run it out.

I have a Fenix headlamp right now, but I've been using headlamps for the last decade. I own regular lights, but they don't get much use.

    Ideas of what to do.

Around here, they have started putting a lien on the property for unpaid electric bills. It's pretty unfair for anyone that is a landlord, as they have no control over the tenant .

If they don't say anything about nails, you can bet that nails will damage them.

    Recommendations for a gas torch

The MAPP torches will work just fine on propane. I have one and use the camp stove propane bottles. They are shorter, more stable, and cheaper than the long skinny ones. I mostly use it for lighting the wood stove, but it works fine for soldering pipes or heating parts.

Who bought Christmas presents for theirself ?

I pretty much have to buy for myself. Somehow I'm hard to buy for as I don't like the typical Christmas junk that people like to buy. This year, I did get a nice pair of LL Bean gloves, and some gift cards.

Do I need a different hammer to avoid mushrooming metal shafts?

Unless you have a good piece of hardwood, I haven't had much luck using that method.
