Above 1200 Sq/FT My Retirement Shop, Pole Barns, Old Truck and Questionable Decisions Thread

Got some pics of my place as I was cutting grass. We are very fortunate, the years at sea paid off. After the grass was cut, I went to a neighbors for a beer - his dog had already started without me.

Boots for some of my Milwaukee impacts Pistol-grip pliers and magnetic hooks from Hobo Freight A tackle tray for the F150 interior screw kit I bought 8/10mm flip socket from Klein. The Snap-on socket is $40 and doesn’t come with the extension. The Klein was $10 F150 door cranks from Bronco...

My first plasma cutter: Hobart AirForce 40i or HF Titanium 65 amp?

I bought a 220V ArcCaptain for something like $200. It works but I am really surprised at how little I have used it. With the stuff I fool with it just seems easier to grab a die grinder, a cut-off tool, an air saw........ I am glad I didn't spend more on a higher end (more expensive) unit.

Another Lisle hose pinch-off clamp and one of those headband lights. Kinda disappointed you can’t turn on the LEDs across your forehead and the side light all on at once. It’s either/or.

    Let's see your toolbox.

Did a little wrench drawer reorganizing this morning. Tool Box Widgets organizers for wrenches. I don’t care for their socket organizers, I prefer rails, but I do like their wrench holders. Wrenches are about 85% Snap-On, 10% Icon, 5% old USA Craftsman and one John Deere 9/16.

Hard to beat the sound of rain on a metal roof with your morning coffee although Boyd, the Chief Mouser, has no interest in following me to the shed. I didn't know it was going to rain and left Old Blue out overnight.

Any Nitrile gloves that don't ****?

Follow up to my post. I bought several brand of gloves recommended in this thread. After trying several of them changing oil, painting, and miscellaneous shop work I have settled on Black Mamba gloves. I appreciate all the input and I really like the Black Mambas better than the rest. (y)

You very quickly learn who your friends are when you call them at 6.30am and ask them to help you get rid of a body and they show up 10 min later but have never asked what kind of a body. Mr Buck was evidently hit by a car and then the coyotes got at him..Wandered into my shed. By time I got...

    Let's see your toolbox.

The one that holds three hanging off the edge of the cart is from Harbor Freight. The ones lower on the cart with the ratchets, grinder and impact are Gator Magnets.

A couple pics to share from the Midwest. My old friend that has the bodyshop also dabbles in used cars. I have been going to the dealer auctions in St Louis the past couple weeks. You never know what you will see at the auctions. Exorcising the turn signal demons in the 85 F150 is finally...
