    HW help needed again 1

Hey....just wanted to say thanks again. I pulled the air vent/fill plug out. Using a pen light I couldn't see any fluid. I had an old small oil pump can...cleaned it out and filled it half way with hydraulic fluid. Pumped all I could till the pickup mechanism couldn't grab fluid. Filled it half...

    HW help needed again 1

Just to be sure I understand....the air vent is also the fill screw. And even with that plastic cap on, it can still bleed off when the jack collapses....do I have that right? Thanks again man.

    HW help needed again 2

Hahaha....I'm a 70 yo...but not at all computer illiterate. I also googled how to fill...etc. That's how I cam up with the manual....and a half dozen ways to fill and bleed. And of course. It depends on the model of the HWyou are working on. I asked here because I've gotten excellent help...

Excellent......thanks man. Yeah, I didn't put anything or do anything with that second flat screw. Any suggestions on filling and bleeding this unit? Could it be I still just don't have enough fluid in it?

    HW help needed again 1

Hey.....thanks. I'll take the white cap off and get a better look at it.....maybe take a pic if I have any questions. So are the instructions on filling and bleeding in that manual correct? Just fill and pump with valve open?

    HW help needed again 2

Hey Guys 2nd question on my older HW So, to make sure....I've added oil to the screw, a round flat head with a gasket on it. Pumped some hydraulic oil into it, put the screw back in and with the jack collapsed...pumped about if times. Then closed the valve and tried pumping and it goes about...

    HW help needed again 1

Hey guys...I'm posting 2 separate questions in 2 separate threads because they are 2 different models of HW jacks. I've posted pics of the jack and the manual for it I found online years ago. My questions for this model. You can see the pic of the jack...and although you can't really see the...

    Help with Hein Werner

Okay......I will give both those methods a shot. Neither of those 2 methods can cause any harm. I'd even read somewhere to leave the fill hole screw out....and lift the saddle by hand while pumping fluid into the fill hole. The writer said that doing that will **** fluid into the system and air...

    Help with Hein Werner

Okay....I have another question. So under that plate is the filler screw/hole. So I've added fresh hydraulic fluid. I want to bleed and an online manual I found years ago says leave that screw out and pump the jack 6-8 times then reinstall the screw and you are good to go. Elsewhere in the...

    Help with Hein Werner

Hey guys/gals...been a while since I've been here. Couldn't find an answer to my question although I'm sure it's here somewhere. I've had 2 of these jacks....one I sold here on the site some years ago...and this one. I purchased 1 of them new in about 1985...I think it's this one...
