Metal Cabinets vintage or homemade and no name toolboxes. got any to show please do

Not real sure if this is "vintage" or not but they were going to throw this in the trash at work, so I took it home. Score!!! HON 4 drawer file cabinet. Need to research the serial when I get home to maybe find out a manufacture date. Built like a tank and feels like ball bearing slides.

    Complicated file handle, Vintage?

Those are my all-time favorite file handle type. You can really crank down the tightening knob so it won't slip off the file while in use. I have one similar that appears to be called "vintage" now. It's the red handled Craftsman one (I think some sort of resin instead of wood) and the jaws...

Found this in a Old Bolt Bin that I bought - What are they?

I'm gonna guess some sort of die for pressing snaps or something similar, although there should be another part that these mate with. Maybe even just to dimple metal?

Metal Cabinets vintage or homemade and no name toolboxes. got any to show please do

Not hard at all. I just used my Bosch jigsaw with a metal blade to cut one tall one into those 3 smaller ones. I marked everything all around while it was still assembled and then disassembled the entire thing which was no small feat since there were dozens of super long screws and tiny low...

Thanks! Oh, I love that cabinet you have. I'd just about kill to get one of those for storage since mine is more for small and low profile stuff.

Metal Cabinets vintage or homemade and no name toolboxes. got any to show please do

Waited almost 2 years to get 2 of these 6' tall cabinets, one for myself and one for my dad. They came from a courthouse that finally decided to part with them. I disassembled them and then cut the pieces into 3 separate cabinets. Painted them hammered silver and used the original tops as...

    Need Help Identifying a Tool

Malco used to make a bunch of PHAC tools 35 years ago (haven't checked to see if they are even still around) but I have no idea what that is.

    TSC JobSmart Blast Cabinet Modifications

I just got some weather stripping and used that all around the top where the lid makes contact. There is still a very small amount of media that makes it out, but not much.

My guess is an edge face made of one layer of plywood all the way around. I think I can see the facing edge on the top. _____________________________ "It's time to be CORRECT, NOT politically correct." -The Truth
