I had the same worries about being to big next to the house. Builder came out and said the house will make the garage appear smaller and also our lot size is about 4 acres so that will help dwarf the garage. The attic Sq Ft is an nice bonus. I did 1/2 attic truss and 1/2 scissor so won't have...
Great looking build so far! Thanks for all the pictures, especially the one with the cars parked in. Gave me a good spacial representation. Meeting with builder on thursday for my 30x52!
The total height of the garage is limited so if I went 14' sides id have to drop roof pitch down and make attic storage almost none. Thats why I figured 12' with scissor trusses to give some added room where the lift will be
Ok guys,
I am going to be putting up a 30wx52dx12h detached garage for the main purpose of vehicle storage but will also be doing some shop work on the vehicles as well. Got some quotes back from local builders and looks like Loyseville structures out of Carlisle PA gave me the best price...
Thank for the reply. I am in the same boat with trying to blend the garage into the property without making it look too industrial. I am most likely going to do 12ft walls and just lower the roof pitch to keep the overall height down.
Garage looks great, How is the clearance with the lift and a full sized truck? I was planning on 12' walls with scissor truss. Have a 97 F250 with 6" lift so worried about it fitting. Thanks
