Ok guys,
I am going to be putting up a 30wx52dx12h detached garage for the main purpose of vehicle storage but will also be doing some shop work on the vehicles as well. Got some quotes back from local builders and looks like Loyseville structures out of Carlisle PA gave me the best price. I am going to be meeting with him this week and was looking for some suggestions as far as what to look for along with suggestions/opinions on my garage setup. I am really concerned about making sure the garage blends in with my property/home.
The garage will be 2x6 framed with a monolithic poured foundation/slab. I am going with 6" poured concrete to accommodate a lift in the future. The front gable end will have two 10x9 garage doors, the rear will have one 10x9 door to allow for drive through. One man door on the left side of garage towards the front. I was going to do 1/2 scissor trusses toward front of building where the lift will go since i have full size trucks i like to toy with, and the back 1/2 attic trusses for storage. There will be a set of stairs along rear gable wall leading up to storage area. Roof will be 6/12 pitch to keep it under 21 feet (township rules).
Looking for ideas on anything I may have missed that I should include so I don't kick myself down the road. Attached picture of my property to give idea on layout, I have 4 acres here. Thanks
