    Mice are killing me....

I just had mice destroy part of my wiring harness in my 2012 Tundra. They ate through the harness to a fuel injector. My CEL came on, had a misfire and the truck was saying it was in 4LO. Got the harness fixed and it was good to go.

    Concrete over tile?

Ok so here's my situation... I have a basement room that I am turning into a woodshop. When I bought the house it had a laundry room in front of it. The basement room used to be a garage and the walkout door was changed to a single man door. When I redid the laundry I leveled the floor about 2...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 12-Gauge Garage

Re: Table-Saw Trouble: Let's Be Safe In 2016 I read the first post and skipped ahead. I have decided that when I make my basement wood shop it will be built around a saw stop. I have been in a machine shop all my life and I still fear table saws.

Upstairs Detached or Walkout Basement? Which would you choose for a Woodshop?

It was very interesting to read all the posts and I am happy I posted this. I am still leaning towards a basement wood shop. Hopefully I get this going sooner rather then later.

Upstairs Detached or Walkout Basement? Which would you choose for a Woodshop?

I like the idea how the garage is separate but I do worry that I won't be able to get anything of decent size down in one piece. I so joke a little bit about the wife and winning. She is very understanding of my excessive need to have a large amount of tools. She did say no to the forklift...

Upstairs Detached or Walkout Basement? Which would you choose for a Woodshop?

I am just starting to get into wood working and find it pretty interesting. As I finish my house I am trying to decide if I should make half my basement into a wood shop or attempt to use the upstairs of my garage. The first floor of the garage will be car specific. Option 1: Basement shop...

Talk me out of putting my lathe in the spare bedroom

My grandfather had a mill and lathe in his finished basement. He would work during the day at his machine shop and then work at night doing large quantity small jobs. I have no idea how the family slept but he was a rags to riches self made man and never stopped working.

Rigid AC9945 Miter Saw Stand - $99 + Free Shipping

I picked one up to replace the custom top I made out if 2x4's that goes on saw horses. So far I like it a lot more. I just have to find cheaper mounts. I would love to setup all my saws on the mounts and be able to quickly change them.

picts of your in-floor heat set ups.

The gas line enters the room to the right at almost ceiling height. I put the t and drip leg where I dropped it down to the height where it runs around the room.

picts of your in-floor heat set ups.

Here is my open/direct system for my home. I am running everything off of one water heater for home water and the radiant. I did everything myself which is the reason for some of the copper crossovers but it seems to be working well.

Any one use pegboard instead of tool boxes?

I have at least 4 pieces of 2 x3 I think metal pegboard hanging on one side of my shop. I've been trying to organize lately and since I've had it for years without getting the hang of it I am using it for rarely used tools. On the other side of the shop I have 5 windows that provide almost no...

Always disappointed when I pay for work.

I have paid to have two roofs done. Both had issues. Both were almost the highest bidder. Both were done by companies in business for years. Do it yourself if you can is what I've learned and follow. No one cares more about your house then you. When I help buddies all I see is problems that...
