Here it is! Worlds most underwhelming shop!

Good news and bad news. I got the old shop cleaned out for the new owners, but that means all my **** is crammed into the new shop. Hopefully I can get some days putting up more wall covering and conduit so I can start putting things where they live.

    iPad/Apple pencil

ProCreate. It's easy to use and has loads of "brushes" to add to your repertoire. Its great for technical drawing and plain old illustration. I use it to illustrate a lot of artwork that can be used by printers (shirts, prints, etc) but professionally, I still use regular old pencil and paper...

Hopefully it’s gonna be WAY different here in a few months!

Here it is! Worlds most underwhelming shop!

Progress so far. Next week I’ll get to doing the wall on the left so I can get electrical in, or at least outlets and lights. Buying materials as I go, so it doesn’t hurt as much all at once. Rigid foam on the bottom 8 ft and if I can’t get a spray foam guy for the ceiling, then it’ll go up...

    CLEANEST shop?

YALL! I got a new Milwaukee Tool (impact driver; as mine gave up the ghost). And they gave me a free handheld blower... BOY! makes clean up a breeze (pun intended). Im a pretty serious sweeper- but this does the 15 minute sweep job in 5! Now I have a dedicated SHOP blower that I never knew I needed.

    12x20 mezzanine design critique

Following. Im working on one now, and I also prefer "overbuilt". Especially if it keeps parts from falling on my head. The amount of DIY mezzanines that I have seen in my research has really amazed me; either people aren't putting any weight on them or they're big into gambling.

    CLEANEST shop?

I love the worlds tiniest roll up door!! This is very tidy, I like how it feels to clean up after a long exhausting day. Feels like I EARNED something. It’s just me in my shop, too. So if someone makes a mess, they have to clean it up 😂

Here it is! Worlds most underwhelming shop!

So far- I have called 4 spray foam companies here East of DFW with no response. I wanted a lot less of this space to be DIY than my last, but it's looking like there's going to be a lot of early mornings and late nights in the foreseeable future. It's compounded because I don't really have a lot...

Here it is! Worlds most underwhelming shop!

yeah, I have no idea why the PO did that- its considerably higher than the grade and it hasn't settled in a way that would drain in. (the dirt in North Texas is only good for a square and plumb foundation for 10-20 years at best) So who knows!

    CLEANEST shop?

Checked em out. Looks big and neat. That's a tough combo. Not a lot for pics in the shop thread, but enough to get the idea. Im trying to see the common denominators for the clean ones, the clues are there!

Additionally, I had the garage floor done the same time as the shop. I swapped out the single lightbulb for a 8K LED and put the cove base in and sealed the outside of the garage door. Now im going to have to paint beyond the door to match up. It'll get some cabinets and such once im done moving.

    CLEANEST shop?

Im hoping because this new place has an attached garage in addition to the shop the car and bikes can go in there and maybe stay cleaner, while the shop is just used for work and parts storage. possible game-changer.

No, ive got a bud that does floors as a side-gig. Half of me was skipping the work, half was supporting the friends! everybody wins! haha

    CLEANEST shop?

I should have clarified. I think TIDY is more appropriate, though I don't know how many of my friends with successful shops are falling over parts all over the place. I think there is a correlation between the need to do good work and keep a TIDY workspace. ZMOTOR is a perfect example; it's...
