Thanks - I considered that too but on this drill its tight with the main shaft (spins with the chuck).. I tried looking up similar drills and haven't found any with a similar fixture

I found this nice vintage Craftsman circular saw. It was too cool to pass up but I still don't know what I'll do with it.
