Hydronic tube spacing to avoid 'striping'

I have a 40x64x16 garage that I done heated floor. I have 6 inch cement for the floor. I tied the 1/2" pex tubing to the bottom of the rebar (request from my cement guy who had to make the saw cuts in the floor. He said they done one with pex on top and it floated up a bit and the saw it it. It...

I was told Hydro Smart Facebook page says they are permanently closed.

Expansion tank in radiant floor system.

I have the Hydro Smart HSPS120LT panel with their 115 micro boiler for the heat source. I keep loosing some pressure and having to add some fluid once about mid winter and then again at the startup of the beginning of the season. The panel says fill to 18 psi. I usually do closer to 20 since it...

Fan speed & water trap questions

That app works pretty good. Plugged all the numbers in there from above and rerun the checks again and everything came out ok. Thanks for the help.

Fan speed & water trap questions

I went and done some testing today. After about 20 minutes of run time Wet bulb temp was 65.7' F (incoming air) Dry bulb (outside by condenser) 92.5' F Lo side gauge temp (not psi) showed 42' F Temp of return line about 3" from service valve on condenser showed 52.4' F From what I can find...

Fan speed & water trap questions

The motor has 4 wires and they are on terminals neutral, cool, heat, motor 1. I tried all 3 wire with the bottom of evaporator open and it didn't seem to make any difference between them. I did get a bottom cover made and installed. The bottom is 14" from the bottom of the evaporator. Right now...

Fan speed & water trap questions

Yes it is R22 but my low side was 72 lbs. not 57. I'm ging to try and get my bottom duct work done and see if that will help with the cooling. Put a little back pressure of air against the coil.

Fan speed & water trap questions

I know there is supposed to be a 3" P trap on evaporator line, is that so air blowing around the evaporator coil doesn't blow out that line? Basically what is the purpose of it? I know in drain side it is to keep sewer gases out but if you are not connected into the drain system, just having it...

    Blower output distance to A-coil

There is no "Y" on the control board on R G W. That was why I was asking if I could connect condenser power along with blower power on "G".

    Blower output distance to A-coil

Connection for the condenser to turn it on. They show using the "Y" connection on the thermostat going to condenser contact and then back to chassis for ground. I will not be using a thermostat, just a on/off switch. Can I piggy back off the "G" connection for the fan without causing any issues...

    Blower output distance to A-coil

So it draws air through the coil rather then push air through, is that correct?

    Blower output distance to A-coil

I acquired a 3.5 ton central air unit with matching A-coil assembly (a-coil and the box it is mounted in) to install in my garage. I need to attach a blower to the a-coil and I have a blower out of a furnace to use. Is there a minimum distance the blower output should be from the a-coil? If I...

Who has the Menards Hydro Smart panel or boiler

Nov. 19th to Dec. 20th 2019 (31 days) it ran a total of 120.1 hours, took 145.6 gal of LP to refill tank. The weather for the most part was warm. Mid to upper 30's during the day and mid 20's to in the teens at night. With the thermostat set on 60 which just measure floor temp it stayed mostly...

Who has the Menards Hydro Smart panel or boiler

As I mentioned in your post .... you have the panel hooked up backwards I have the boiler (basically on demand water heater) connected to the panel as the instructions say. If this is wrong then your saying Hydrosmart built it wrong. The 115 is variable low temp out, which it changes the heat...
