I have the Hydro Smart HSPS120LT panel with their 115 micro boiler for the heat source. I keep loosing some pressure and having to add some fluid once about mid winter and then again at the startup of the beginning of the season. The panel says fill to 18 psi. I usually do closer to 20 since it does loose some. While I was getting ready to add some fluid, I seen the expansion says it is pre-filled to 12 psi. When I connected my hoses and turn the valves open the system pressure drops to 0 so thought I would test the air pressure in the expansion tank. It was completely empty. Shouldn't the air psi be a little more then the 18 psi system pressure?? The manual doesn't say anything. I did fill it to 12 psi. I called into Hydro Smart twice now and got some lady that said would have a tech call back and never got any calls back. Their website has no products listed, just a few manuals to look at under support. So I don't know if they closed shop but they are not providing help.

Thanks

12 PSI sounds about right for the air fill of an Extrol tank on a single story setup with cold water.
