the cost of this one is about 90-100$ in my area, everything is much cheaper in the US lol. thats not the point, I will be putting it in regardless of the cost, better safe than sorry.
Hi everyone,
I have yet another electrical question. I have bought the subpanel in the link below. I passed a wire from my 200 amp main panel to this new subpanel. I have two different people telling me two different things. One of them says that i dont have to put the 100amp main breaker on...
i forgot to add that the black cable (should have had a plug originally) going into the junction box is what is coming from the heater. there is a wire in there that is bare and not plugged or covered. the red cable also goes in the junction box but is not hooked up to anything. was the original...
Hi all,
I am in a bit of rush and i have already posted in the heater section but also felt that it can go in the electrical section.
I am just trying to understand what the previous owner did to this heater, well actually two of them. was it to hook it up to a thermostat or something else...
ok, i think i get what you are saying. so is it still ok if there is another wire from the black cable, it kind of white should i just put a marette on that one?
the way it is wired now can it do 240v? do i just bring the red wire straight to the panel on a 20 amp breaker or the thermostat...
I paid twenty bucks for the two.
I have now attached an actual picture of what is in the junction box.
So if I keep it like this i will only be runny at 120v? Which means it would not put out 4800watts if I'm correct
What would I do with other end of the red wire?
That can be an option, but I was wondering what the original owner did with these, I dont get it lol. The photos of the auction didn't really show the plug.
Is it better for me to just put a 240v outlet and reattach the 240v plugs?
Hi everyone,
so the garage is slowly getting done, im at the electrical and plumbing now, hopefully the sheetrock will be up this weekend.
I have purchased two of these heaters at an auction. However the cord coming out of the heater goes into a junction box and then there is a red wire...
I will be running this from my subpanel off a 15 amp breaker (i believe) i dont think I will add other plugs on the same circuit. they only take 45 watts each. here is a link of the lights i bought. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0739THBJN/?tag=atomicindus04-20
wow that is amazing, I've never seen...
