I wanted a way to get pliers up and out of the drawer and hanging where they are easy to see and access. I found these wire racks at Lowes that are intended for pegboard, drilled two holes in the side of a metal storage cabinet to hang them. Bent the inside ends of the hanger wire as shown...
I'm a shade-tree mechanic and I have a couple questions regarding heating up stuck or rusted nuts or bolts, and why this works to free them. The questions apply to heating with either an induction heater or a torch. (a) Does the heat work because the parts expand at a different rate which...
There are two with cabs. The UDLX is the big one and very rare. The RTS Deluxe with cab is the smaller one. You can find Youtube videos of these tractors. I think these were among the earliest tractors with cabs, and the cabs may have been adapted from trucks, not sure.
They own all of those tractors, bought them all fully restored, some or all at auctions. I found a youtube video of a UDLX that sold at auction recently for $142,500, it looked like the same tractor but I can't be sure.
The new Moline luxury apartment building in Hopkins, MN has a very unique museum in their front lobby. This apartment building stands near the location of the old Minneapolis-Moline tractor factory that was in production from 1929 to 1963. The owners of the property decided to honor the...

I did not see this topic already covered.

I've been bitten by the urge to learn welding bug lately. I've started looking for some weekend warrior type of welding class but so far it's just the professional programs I've found.
Cutting a joint line is a decent idea. Not as pretty but yes I wondered if the weeping water would find a way up and around a waterproof patch. Have you ever seen a concrete pad weep water up like that? My garage is not even in a low area, it's a high area and the soil is sandy. I don't...
My garage floor has always had two small spots that weeped water up from below the surface. Just a small amount. It's weird, it happens mainly in spring and early summer. When I had my floor epoxied this spring, I pointed these two spots out to the epoxy installer. He indicated he could...
