Craftsman Belt Driven Bench Grinder restoration

I'm not quite done with my grinder. I ended up making a copy of the motor mount I was using. It did well. I need new wheels, and then I will mount my sharpening jig. I'm on the lookout for a cool light to attach to this setup.

I agree. I like what you did. I'm just now learning to work with metal. My welding *****, but I'm learning.

That is really space saving. Did you fabricate that or did it fit something else before?

    Weird Wilton

I just got a vice like this and made a locking handle for the turret. I need to take it apart and clean it, but was wondering if anyone might have some documentation or helpful information on disassembly and assembly? Attaching some photos.

Craftsman Belt Driven Bench Grinder restoration

I have it put together and running. I'm going to take it apart, clean up the steel top, clean up and paint the motor mount. I need to figure out a light, a power switch, get some CBN wheels and then get the sharpening jig attached. The wheels work great. I have a half inch bolt going through...

Craftsman Belt Driven Bench Grinder restoration

I'm making headway. I decided to go ahead and stay with the old paper labels. I coated the paper labels with shelac and then with acrylic. I was able to preserve the label on the back but the one that should read "BALL BEARING" on the front didn't do well because I didn't cover the letters...

Craftsman Belt Driven Bench Grinder restoration

Thanks, Larry. I will reach out to mattblast. I also found the link at vintage machinery but he also lost his decals. He did document the specs well in the photoindex for it though. I have it disassembled and I'm cleaning it up now. I'm going to turn it into my sharpening station as well...

Craftsman Belt Driven Bench Grinder restoration

I've been out on Vintage Machinery looking for a manual and couldn't find one. This grinder is from about 1960. It has a couple of labels I'd like to replace, so I'm looking for someone who might be able to do that?

Who Is Using A Vintage Craftsman Emerson 113 10" Table Saw as a Primary TS???

The fence on my saw is spot on really. I was surprised. The thing is square and holds solid. I just wish there was a way to extend the gear system they had. I have an extra piece of the geared fence and half hoped I could extend it but no luck. I'm just going to be shopping and watching...

Who Is Using A Vintage Craftsman Emerson 113 10" Table Saw as a Primary TS???

I'm keeping an eye out for one. I've actually found a table saw or two really cheap that I could get and just use the fence and rails. What kind of money would you expect to spend for the fence and rails. I found a T2 new in the box for $250 near me.

Who Is Using A Vintage Craftsman Emerson 113 10" Table Saw as a Primary TS???

Nice saw. I have a 113.29991 I'm starting to use as my primary table saw. I'm looking to get a new fence but the original one is really solid for now so I'm sticking to it. I would like to have a riving knife of sorts. I also have two wings and plan to upgrade the motor. Thanks for the...

    Craftsman Pedestal-Type Power Tool Stands

I just got a stand that I believe is for a 4 3/8 jointer. 35244-103. I found a 4 3/8 inch jointer in a 1959 catalog that matches the Mounting dimensions 5 3/8 x 25 13/16 inches. Can't seem to find the catalog number for the pedestal in the catalog. Curious if I'm correct about this or if I'm...
