I've been out on Vintage Machinery looking for a manual and couldn't find one. This grinder is from about 1960. It has a couple of labels I'd like to replace, so I'm looking for someone who might be able to do that?
Thanks, Larry. I will reach out to mattblast. I also found the link at vintage machinery but he also lost his decals. He did document the specs well in the photoindex for it though. I have it disassembled and I'm cleaning it up now. I'm going to turn it into my sharpening station as well. Hoping to find some CBN wheels that might fit.
That is really space saving. Did you fabricate that or did it fit something else before? Here's how I mounted a similar unit.
It was just fabbed from junk steel that was laying around. A lot of people put the motor out behind which is a space waster. That is really space saving. Did you fabricate that or did it fit something else before?
I agree. I like what you did. I'm just now learning to work with metal. My welding *****, but I'm learning. It was just fabbed from junk steel that was laying around. A lot of people put the motor out behind which is a space waster.
A stand like that could be bolted together if the welding is shakey, just takes longer.I agree. I like what you did. I'm just now learning to work with metal. My welding *****, but I'm learning.
I'm not quite done with my grinder. I ended up making a copy of the motor mount I was using. It did well. I need new wheels, and then I will mount my sharpening jig. I'm on the lookout for a cool light to attach to this setup.I agree. I like what you did. I'm just now learning to work with metal. My welding *****, but I'm learning.
