Anyone just used a concrete stain in their garage?

My wife and I thought we'd just like to use a floor stain in our garage, but reading on Valspar's site, it says their semi-transparent concrete stains are not to be used in garages. Anyone know why that is?

    My New Shop 40 X 63 (Nebraska)

Excellent thread. I have a similar size shop in mind that I want to build, and similar property grade issues, so this has been an intersting thread. I've not yet decided on whether to go all steel again like I had in Oklahoma or wood. Cost of builing materials will be of some part of the...

    My new playland

Good for you! I know what you mean about getting good lease rates. If I showed you the 133,000 sq ft place I leased from the city for $1.00 a month, most wouldn't believe it. Good luck with your business re-energizing!

    My personal slice of heaven

I know they are a bit more expensive than the throw away bargin store compressors, but if you could budget it, there is no better compressor than a Kaesser. the things are quieter than your home central air conditioner.

    wood vs steel

I was just browsing the gallery section today and wondered how many folks take into consideration the cost of insurance between wood structures and steel structures; or concrete block, for that matter. About a dozen years ago I started planning my little backyard shop, and was leaning toward a...
