The crushed stone is functional as well as cosmetic- I could have just left the inexpensive gravel.

Pulled teeth to get this special crushed pink granite trucked over from Southwest Harbor, Maine.

All in all including installation and electrical and weight gauge and extra rubber lift pads around 14K. Not cheap but it’s a forever lift.

It took about 3 months.

I’m working on the driveway around the garage. Trying to finish before the weather turns. Then I’m going to finish up the loft subfloor. Still way more to go....

Buy a Mohawk and never worry....

I’m torn between a Mohawk System 1 10K symmetric lift vs a Nussbaum Otto 9 asymmetric lift. My slab has a control joint which bisects the bay from left to right and would preclude the Mohawk from being placed in the center of the bay where it belongs which means it would have to be installed...

Thank you! I’m using it to store and restore Mercedes. I’m thinking about heat pumps but not sure if they’ll be sufficient! The interior walls will be insulated with fiberglass batt insulation.
