I’m torn between a Mohawk System 1 10K symmetric lift vs a Nussbaum Otto 9 asymmetric lift. My slab has a control joint which bisects the bay from left to right and would preclude the Mohawk from being placed in the center of the bay where it belongs which means it would have to be installed behind the joint. This will allow for very limited clearance between the back of a vehicle and the garage door but is still feasible. The Nussbaum, being asymmetric can be installed ahead of the control joint and would fit just fine in my space. I like the solidity and robustness of the mohawk despite its high price. The Nussbaum seems to have little to no dealer support network in Maine where I am, but I like the double jointed rear arms on the Nussbaum and I like that it fits nicely in my garage. Any thoughts?
