Westinghouse 3400wpx Pressure Washer - Water Inlet Woes

...before the next process was performed to retain said part. Just my guess.

    Precision Instruments TQ wrench

I always typed out material RFQs or orders as: (2) 1/2".... The 2x could lead to issues for me as I deal with pipe, tube and fittings.

    Harry J Epstein Day 2026

I second this. A few of the items on my order were refunded due to them selling out.

    Stihl fs55rc

My local dealer (unfortunately no longer in business) wouldn't sell a blade kit if the trimmer didn't have handlebars. Now all one had to do was lie as no proof was required. Not an issue for me as I didn't even consider a trimmer without handlebars.

Transmission Jack - HF vs Vevor

I have the grey HF transmission jack. Used it handful of times, F350 ZF6 and transfer case and Dodge Tremec 6 speed. It works, but I welded D-rings to it for securing the ZF6 and transfer case with straps. I added roller thrust bearings on the swivels, they were binding up on me. However, this...

    Harry J Epstein Day 2026

I've made them before from chisels. Then I end up regrinding a chisel point as I don't carry multiple chisels.

    Pre Wright Grip wrenches

I have a few of those, as well as some Bonneys, and use them on a fairly regular basis, when I do not want to mar the fastener/fitting. Used a 7/16 this evening on a compression fitting. However, I prefer the thicker beam on the Wrightgips and Bonney's I have. I'm not a fan of the thin beam. If...

    Sawzall Choice?

I second the Hackzall, I have both the M12 and M18 fuel versions. If I need a reciprocating the first thing grab the Hackzall. About the only time I use the Sawzall is when I'm cutting thicker/large diameter steel or cutting a lot of steel and the Portaband will not work for the task.

Just confirming other’s experiences, Wright no longer has a meaningful Warranty for their tools.

I needed a single E12 socket, I just ordered it from McMaster-Carr as I was also ordering some other things from them. I was surprised it was a Wright socket they sent. While I like Wright tools and are typically my first choice, I didn't even think they offered external torx sockets. After...

Electrical potting compound. Gel or putty? Mixing dispenser guns?

Devcon Epoxy Plus 25 is listed as a potting epoxy. I used it a few weeks ago to seal infill a bulkhead fitting into a cooler. It is definitely a thick epoxy. A dispenser with nozzle is needed, which is why I chose this product. It would have been cumbersome to use the typical 2-part epoxy from a...

    ZMotorsports Shop Projects 2.0

I made a pedestal mount for mine and anchored it to the floor in the shop, best solution for me. I ended up hard piping it, lubricator mounted on the pedestal, as I was sick of the hose across the floor when using. I used an air hose in the drop and didn't think of installing a quick connect to...

SilverJimmy, I have the Astro paint shaker and am happy with it. I got it to mix a gallon of SW Kem Kromic or alkyd enamel that the solids settled out, knowing I would end up using whenever I painted. I was impressed with how effective the shaker was mixing it. It sure beats stirring and I even...

    Harry J Epstein Day 2026

I had them in my cart, then removed them, while Jori may have liked where my cart total was going, my bank account had other ideas. However, I plan on stopping by in person in about two weeks when I'm in the KC area. I guarantee I will not leave there empty handed.

    Harry J Epstein Day 2026

I need to watch Jori's video, that is what prompted my purchases last year. There was one exception, added after the fact, which he added to my order saving an extra shipping charge.

    Ikon ratchets lack QR feature

I've been known to hammer sockets onto rusted fasteners more than once. Usually fractional sockets onto metric fasteners. Sockets coming off the ratchet is not a typical problem for me. The typical problem is the fastener stuck in the socket. Unfortunately, threading the fastener into the hole...
