    Mandatory Water Cutoff Valve?

Not knowing how they do things in California but my experience with how water service is brought into commercial, industrial and institutional buildings in WI and IL, the fire protection is tee'd off the incoming service inside the building with backflow prevention on the fire protection line...

    Split Beam Torque Wrench Opinions

I have a few Precision Instruments torque wrenches, split-beam and clicker. However, for my latest purchase I looked at PI and thought it was overpriced so I went with CDI, more competitively priced. I prefer the PI torque wrenches, dislike the quick release on the CDI and, if I remember...

Milwaukee M12 Cut Off Tool - Sheet Metal Frustration

I've only cut trim coil and light gauge sheet metal with mine so far. About a month ago I cut 16 gauge with angle grinder and I wished I had my double cuts (out of state and needed to reinforce our inexpensive spoiler), it sucked. Sometimes you have to use what's available.

Milwaukee M12 Cut Off Tool - Sheet Metal Frustration

I like the Milwaukee M18 double cuts for cutting sheet metal. Abrasive wheels **** for cutting sheet metal in my opinion.

    Hydronic/Boiler System Turn Down ??

Regarding the buddies son, his water heater may be indirect fired, meaning there is a heat exchanger in the water heater pulling heat from his hydronic boiler. If this is the case, his boiler needs to be on all the time.

    Dumb sink plumbing/P trap question

If there is a vent in the wall, most likely, it's not an S-trap

I need a plumber! How do you fix this?

If you can cut the vent line below the floor, I'd build it back to the tub drain with PVC, or ABS (the black plastic pipe you have) and get rid of the cast iron P-trap. If better access, I'd open the wall and cut the vent pipe above the floor.

Old school copper plumbing - what is this stuff?

I would just cut it out starting upstream of the valve to good tube and put it back with sweat copper. That doesn't look like to bad of a repair and everything can be fit up prior to sweating. I've also seen pulled tees and bent copper tube. I have ordered annealed straight copper tube for...

Who has a well priced drill bit set now?

I also like buying from Zoro, but stick with known domestic brands.

    ZMotorsports Shop Projects 2.0

I have bought many shackles and they are sold individually. Granted I buy from the local farm store and just like early Fords, you can get them in any color you want as long as it's black.

Can someone check my wiring in a sub-panel?

In my digging for electrical I plan I doing, it appears WI runs two cycles behind. Not that I plan on pulling a permit...
