I bought it from a guy who pulled it out of a factory. It is rated for 2 tons with an 18' span. In a previous life I built one, around 16' span, and had a 5 ton chain fall on it.
Not a great picture, but I'm happy with how the gantry works with the lift. Also gantry can move anywhere, and stores against the back wall out of the way.

The lift cylinder is pushing on the safety release cable on the other post at the top. The cable is in a black cable guide and should be zip tied to the side slightly.
I think I have narrowed my choices down to the spo10. I want a true symmetrical lift so I can place vehicles either direction on the lift. Will be using for 3/4 ton 4wd trucks to smaller jetta sized cars. The lift is available with different lift pads, any advice on choosing which way to buy...
