I have been using Lucas X-Tra heavy duty (green stuff) grease for a while. It seems to work well.

I love my Knipex tools. Picked up as many as I could find when Lowes was almost giving them away. They are the best pliers I have ever used. If you can find them at a good price, jump on it.

I got a bunch of Knipex pliers from Lowes a while back for next to nothing. All I can say is they are the best pliers I ever used. I never thought I would go ape over pliers.

Thanks for the info. I also got lots of Snapon and Craftsman. And a fair amount of Armstrong, Crescent and Pittsburgh and ones just marked "Taiwan". A wide range of quality for sure.
