    Air line connection outside

Whatever you do I'd regulate that connection INSIDE. Kids will immitate dads and quickly blow up a bicycle tire! 30 PSI would probably be good and fill up most bike tires to rideable condition. On the other hand, I have a real nice Ridgid cordless air inflation tool that even has an...

    Air compressor volume question

I run the regulator on my compressor wide open (for me the tanks cycles around 125 psi) and regulate with a quality regulator at the gun. Line pressure to the gun is roughly 125 psi depending on the cycle of the compressor. If your compressor can handle 18 cfm @ 100 psi it will have no trouble...

    Quickjack Sale

Looks like home depot has a better sale on the BL-7000SLX ($1,349 vs $1,385) but the listed price for the BL-5000SLX is the same. HOWEVER, for $27 more at Home Depot you can get a package with the wall mounts and four pinch weld blocks!

    The M18 Random Orbital Sander

I have it's Ridgid brother (Ryobi, Milwaulkie and Ryobi are mde by TTI, and you can see the similarities between the tools). At first I hated how the tool felt, like I had to fight it or it would wander all over. I figured out if I place the battery AWAY from me, and hold it by the side it...

    Attached garage ventilation

I had a chuckle about how this is written: Let me know if you find that switch! To try and be SOMEWHAT helpful, if you were to put in an attic fan, It would be cool to have some sort of smart wifi switch that you could run on a schedule, but really neat would be to run it for a certain time...

    Honda D series Bearings

I freshened up a D series engine years ago and did what was suggested with a standard set of bearings and checking with plastigauge. That worked well for me for 50k miles till I sold the Civic, I assume that little mill is still serving someone today! I always considered the process of bearing...

Concrete "Stem Wall" for 12x16 shed?

Of course I did that for the permit. I'm all good and have the zoning permit to place the structure. I don't need a building permit as the structure is under 200 sq ft. The county just wants to tax me, not make sure I build it right!

Concrete "Stem Wall" for 12x16 shed?

Definitely planning on gutters, it is very close to my house and I'd like it to match (vinyl siding and all). Gutters will be a simple and necessary option. I think I'm good here, I am not planning on a door that opens to the yard. I haven't decided on where the double door and the man door...

Concrete "Stem Wall" for 12x16 shed?

And no grout under the bond blocks? This sounds like some masonry work I can do. Good idea!

Concrete "Stem Wall" for 12x16 shed?

I had to go google a bond beam block to get an idea on how that worked and that does seem like a good idea. I'm convinced a course of block will be much better for the longevity. I'm just not sure how to go about it. The bond block looks interesting. I wonder if there is a way that I could...

Concrete "Stem Wall" for 12x16 shed?

I think that photo is a little misleading. There is definitely a swale to the right in that photo I posted, and it does fill with water when we get heavy rain. I think what the photo is showing is the "full" grass vs the new "thin" grass right against the pad. I had thought about landscaping a...

Concrete "Stem Wall" for 12x16 shed?

I need a little advice with a Shed question. I started this year to clean up this mess on the side of my house: We use this daily to enter the house through the back door. Concrete was in order, and so I happened upon a plan to incorporate a slab that I could also build an adjoining 12x16...

Bathroom vanity installed in non-square corner

Looks like IKEA, I love their vanities and plumbing solution, a great way to get space under the sink, and I usually am astonished I can complete a plumbing job with only the stuff they include in the bag (as opposed to several trips to the depot). I would move it the few inches to the left...

    Place to build a Samurai

Nice work so far. At some point did you remove the asphalt driveway? Looks like it was there and is now gone in the pictures. Very lucky with your neighbor!
