My garage is very similar, with the bump out on the opposite side, and to the back. I'm getting ready to paint my floors too. What kind of product are you going with?

Cost is about the same between the two. $4-500 depending on where you get it from. It definitely has some nice features, and installation appears to be a little easier.

I'm debating myself about going with a Liftmaster 8500W or the new Genie 6170..both with battery backup as it's mandatory in CA now.
