The ebay price is silly, but an 88-tooth ratchet made in USA back in 2014. Not bad Craftsman... I'm seeing one report that they sold a set of all three drive sizes for $80? I couldn't afford tools back then so I didn't even know what I missed out on.

I wonder if a company could make what would essentially be a massive pin vise. Maybe 2.5' long and wide enough to grab a ratchet handle. Take the wobble out of the cheater pipe equation.
There is a dedicated tool for those clips. Search for an "e-clip tool". It's a flat piece of metal with little cutouts that match the clips. I do not have any recommendations for a good set.
