I have a cape cod and was told to install baffles, a ridge vent (or equivalent) and a special type of vent that sits by the gutter. I don't remember what they call the vent by the gutter but it's specifically for cape cod type houses with no soffit. Baffles with no airflow won't do much.

I am forced to build a 4 car tandem garage because of lot size. Well, lot size and house placement and easement issues and septic field. I wouldn't build it otherwise due to everyone's stated concerns with getting more than 2 cars in and out easily. I am planning on winter/summer car parking...

^^^ also includes Hardi board siding and the whole thing will be 1080sf. Tying into the existing roof has been the hang up of at least 2 contractors since the garage is slightly L shaped.

If you want yet another trick, try using valve grinding compound in with the allen key. The grit makes the allen key bite hard. We used it all the time on german cars - VW/Audi loves allen bolts!

I worked at a repair shop 10 years ago and the mechanics always told me not to leave batteries in the cold, especially on cold concrete. It would be nice to know if this is false information. So far it seems the majority of replies say just to unplug and leave in the cold... Does anybody have...

One thing to read up on is the weight capacity at a given wheelbase. I am looking into a 4 post and noticed the capacity gets reduced as the wheelbase gets shorter. Could be a problem with the wheelbase of a trailer!
