Temu got me. Tire changing machine.

I've never purchased from Temu but my son in law is a Temu professional - lol. He's had both extremes when it comes to good or bad purchases on Temu. The worst was when he bought a couch and love seat. When it arrived, it could fit in a shoe box - lol. He's much more careful reading the item...

Green Hinges AND ThermoTrak for sealing overhead doors?

I'm trying to seal my overhead doors in my shop. I've gone to great lengths to try to make my shop as air-tight as possible, such as denying myself of sunlight by not having any windows and absolutely no roof penetrations, but these door seals are killin me! I've seen the Green Hinges and the...

M18 Fuel Surge 1/4" Impact Driver Giveaway!

That is a very generous thing to do BrandonV. This is the kind of thing that makes this forum such a great place. I can't even begin to count the number of times that this forum has saved me time, money and frustration over the years but the camaraderie is, by far, the best thing about this...

Need help with engine hoist, please.

By lifting the boom by hand, you are probably drawing air past the seals and creating a very dangerous situation. I would never lift the boom by hand - regardless of whether the valve was opened. Just my opinion.

    Kysor Johnson Model J Bandsaw

OK Dave, it's been nearly 2 years. What's the verdict on the old Model J? I have a chance at getting one and I'm curious as to how yours has turned out. If I get it, I plan to do a recon thread for it too.

    Snow Blower Impeller Mod

Time to awaken this thread for 2022 - lol. I did this flap mod to both of my John Deere model 46 single stage throwers on my 420 and 430 tractors 6 or 8 years ago. It was all over YouTube and it seemed like a fun mod to try. The improvement was so huge I decided to do it to my cheapo walk behind...

Does this look right to you?

My point about the original install location is that it will NOT work as the water only goes past the "eliminator" once - ever! All the air that comes out of solution after hitting the boiler will just be caught in the system forever as it has been doing since it was installed - except for the...

Does this look right to you?

OK, my question is about my house boiler/furnace. It's a weil McLane "boiler" but water temp is right at 180*F so... no boiling in this boiler. My issue, or question, is about the air separator (or lack thereof) on this home boiler. It does technically have a separator but it is basically...

Gas line question for Big Maxx 50k BTU

Your gas contractor will be able to assess your system and tell you if it's possible. He will also determine if your current meter is capable of supporting an additional 50K BTUs as some houses can be right at the edge as far as meter capacity. He'll add up the total BTUs of all of your gas...

    Shop heater for remote cabin

I hope you have at least one Big *** Fan if that ceiling is that high. Keep that heat down low where it can be useful. I agree with a bigger woodstove and the magic heat cube. I made one of those magic cube type things out of the top barrel of a double barrel stove many years ago and wow! It...

    How efficient is in-floor heat?

I keep my shop slab at 55 - 65 degrees which is about 50 +/- room temp and is warm enough for me to be comfortable when I'm working. If I'm not working or if the wife or grandsons are out there with me, I go with plan B. I left one pex circuit out of the concrete and instead routed the pex to...

How much compression should my air compressor pump have?

Sounds good. I'll do that. Thanks. Good idea. Definitely worth the time and effort to at least look it over. At least that way I'll have peace of mind if everything looks good. Thanks. Yeah, I'm worried about those windings for sure. I'm really REALLY hoping it was just the caps and not...

How much compression should my air compressor pump have?

Yeah, I'm worried about those windings for sure. I'm really REALLY hoping it was just the caps and not anything serious.
