Another experienced lineman here... I'm thinking operator error. We pull poles with both the puller (tiger, and basic large ram), as well as the truck by itself. Truck alone is much quicker for a pole that isn't too stuck, but I never grab the swing lever when pulling. Back in the day we had...

Haha...the thing is he still has 30x more than this left over. Job boxes full of grinders, drills, sockets wrenches. Apparently the company that was building a plant in the area just boxed up all the tools used in the construction of it, and sold the whole works off. There has to be 40 job...
