    Auto mechs, how often do you use deep sockets? Would you miss them?

    Knuckle clearance is a factor -- sometimes the depth of a deep socket is the natural answer to a situation instead of grabbing a semi-deep socket and a very short extension. Late model Toyota A25A oil pans...a deep 14mm socket just feels like the appropriate socket to use for an oil change.
